Reviews

The following reviews are referring to my daycare called It Takes A Village (ITAV).  I was the owner, director, and child care provider of It Takes A Village from 2013 to 2015.  Every day at my daycare had a theme, complete with fun and educational activities, an arts and crafts project, a storytime book, and often even a cute snack/meal to go along with it.

“It Takes A Village (ITAV) is a godsend.  I can’t begin to describe the comfort we have when dropping off our daughter.  Not only is Mrs. Cristina thorough, proactive and efficient when running ITAV, she is also nurturing, welcoming and FUN.  My daughter is growing and learning every day through all of the fun, educational activities provided for the children; my daughter is always entertained.  She is constantly being exposed to activities above her age and outside of her daily environment.  I am so impressed with how ITAV is put together and I recognize and appreciate all of Mrs. Cristina’s effort in making ITAV a special place.  My daughter now has many new friends and talks about the children and Mrs. Cristina even when she isn’t at ITAV.  I love the message of Mrs. Cristina’s daycare because I truly believe “it takes a village” to raise a healthy, well-rounded child.  We are thankful we found such a great place to bring our daughter.”

“We love “Miss ‘Stina”! My son just loves his days at ITAV. When I get there to pick him up, he’s never ready to go. As a parent, that is a very good sign that your child is having a great time. Miss Cristina puts so much thought and effort into all of the activities she plans for them each day. You can tell she truly loves what she does. They have a theme everyday with activities, an art project, and a storytime book all tied to the theme. This is much more than just a daycare. The children are learning each day. They’re playing. They’re having a blast. And most importantly, they are nurtured and cared for. I would recommend ITAV to any parent without hesitation.”

“Miss Cristina is a fantastic care giver. Her philosophy of children learning through play is exactly how I’d like my child to develop. Her rates are affordable (lower than most daycares in the area), daycare hours convenient for long commuters (like myself), and she genuinely cares about each child as an individual and wants to get to know them. At the end of the day I have a happy, tired, and well fed kid, and that’s more than any parent can ask for. I highly recommend her daycare It Takes a Village.”

“Miss Cristina is wonderful with kids. She is very accommodating to specific needs, and she provides a loving environment where children can establish a good individual foundation. At IT TAKES A VILLAGE my wife and I feel very assured that our daughter is safe and getting the best care anyone can  expect….so glad we found it!”

“What a wonderful place this is to bring your child! You’ll leave your child in good hands where you know he/she will be taken care of by a caring mom just like you. Here your child will play many different activities, eat nutritious meals, learn how to share with other kids and just be as happy as you expect them to be. When my grandkids go to Cristina’s house, they never want to leave because they have so much fun. You will not regret sending your kids to this lovely daycare! And have you looked at the price? $200/week for full time day care! Very very reasonable for the kind of service Cristina will provide for your child. Minimum wage today is $8/hour but she does not charge very much because she knows how financially hard it is on parents when they need daycare for their children. One of the reason she is a stay-at-home mom… she cannot afford daycare at the price other people charge!”

“Our two boys always have so much fun here that they don’t want to leave when I come to pick them up. It’s so nice to not have to worry about whether our kids are in good hands or not. We can drop them off with confidence.”
